Making dessert with our chef

Lions made the crumble topping for rhubarb and apple crumble which they were having for dessert with our new chef Jane. They really enjoyed measuring the ingrediencies out and mixing it all together. The dessert went down well after lunch :) 

Cooking encourages children's thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It also allows children the opportunity to use the knowledge they have and apply it by counting, measuring, following a sequence, following directions, and cause and effect.
