Spring walk (1)

Baby room went on their spring walk in the local community this week. We looked at the different types of flowers we can find in spring whilst enjoying the warmer spring weather. Back at nursery we created a sensory basket featuring some of the things we found whilst we were outside so that we could explore them further.

Toddler room enjoyed their spring walk on Wednesday. We went around our local area looking at the different plants and talking about what we could see. We walked around the local allotments

smelling the different fruits and vegetables that were growing. We found a little park on our adventure and took advantage of the lovely weather and had some fun playing on swings, climbing on the climbing frame and sitting together on the see saw.

Preschool enjoyed a spring walk on Friday, despite the rainy weather! We enjoyed walking in the local community, taking in all of our surroundings and noticing changes that are happening around us. Some children spotted blossom trees and said “Look! Pretty pink trees.” Whilst out on our walk we also saw some very colourful spring flowers growing in the flower beds, including daffodils which the children spotted and shouted “Daffodils!” Using our magnifying glasses we also had a look in the grass and mud to see if we could spot any minibeasts crawling around. We thought we might of seen some wriggly worms in the grass, however we were unsuccessful in finding any! We will keep a look out in our garden, especially in our bug hotel.
