Autumnal Sand Tray.

This week in baby room we started looking at our new topic Autumn. We started the topic of making our own autumnal sand tray. We would firstly like to thank all the parents who has helped us bring in loads of different autumnal objects on their walk. We then had a look at all the different objects and made our own autumnal sand tray. The babies enjoyed using their fine motor skills to pick up and feel the different textures of the natural objects within the tray. The babies also looked at the different textures of the leaves and enjoyed using their sense of touch to touch and explore how each of the leaves felt. We then looked at the different autumn animals and the babies enjoyed looking at the owls and foxes within the tray. The babies enjoyed looking at the owls and we extended this by listening to what noises different animals would make.
