Sensory bag exploration

This week in the baby room to continue our topic ‘all about me’ we decided to make some different sensory bags to explore our sense of touch. We had 4 different bags which contained shower gel, rice, spaghetti, and red paint with water. The babies enjoyed using their fine motor skills to press and squeeze the bags to explore how each one felt. They enjoyed looking at the bags to see what was happening inside each bag and enjoyed moving them and mixing them around. They particularly enjoyed the one with the shower gel as they were also able to use their sense of smell to smell the apple scented shower gel.
