The Grasshoppers have been reading the story of Stick Man. The children went to the forest to collect sticks to create their own stick men. On the walk the children foraged for various sticks that they thought would be good to make Stick Man. On return to nursery the children used scissors, tape and string to construct their own stick men. The children worked hard with the support of Chelsea and Coulla to manipulate scissors and use the string and tape to fix sticks together. The children persisted when difficulties occurred to create a Stick Man. Once they had been made the children used their stick men to re-tell the familiar story with props.
