This week in the baby room we continued our People Who help us by looking at how construction workers help us. To do this we explored our own edible construction site. We used a variety of cereals and coloured rice as our props and we really enjoyed using our senses to explore them. We added large and small trucks and diggers which we could fill with cereal and tip onto the floor. We used our fine motor skills to pinch, grab and pick up the different cereals and our gross motor skills to move the large trucks around the floor. We also added some wooden blocks and shapes that we used to create our own buildings, towers and construct different objects. We really enjoyed stacking the blocks and using the vehicles to knock them down.
