The children in Tigers had been learning about Bats for National Bat day which is the 30th & 3st August. They had read the story that's not my bat and extended it by making some grey playdough with Bat cutters and Bat pictures to create their own bats.
To teach toddlers about animal inhabitants within the EYFS, focus on simple activities that explore different habitats and animal sounds, like playing animal sound guessing games or reading books about jungle or ocean animals. Encourage empathy by discussing how to be kind to animals, and use sensory play or crafts using natural materials to help children learn about where animals live, such as deserts, forests, or the Arctic.
