Dinosaur Dig

The Grasshoppers were archaeologists for the day as they took part in excavating dinosaurs from eggs.

The children used tools such as wooden hammers, tweezers and fossil brushes to excavate the dinosaurs.

When the dinosaurs were released the children looked at the fossil print left behind.

Brushes were used to remove all sand from the dinosaurs so that children could explore them in more detail.

The children showed high levels of concentration and engagement as they worked as a team to hold the eggs and use the tools.

Hand eye co-ordination was essential.
