Today the Horses supported by making some Pudsey biscuits for our Children in Need bake sale this evening. The children looked at the recipe for the biscuits and worked through the list to ensure they had the correct ingredients for the biscuits. Next the children weighed out the ingredients in measuring cups and using scales to determined how much ingredient was needed, exploring weight and capacity. Once the ingredients had been mixed together using whisks and wooden spoons the children were able to form a dough to roll. The children worked to form the correct consistency adding more flour when needed and rolling their dough into a ball with their hands. Rolling pins were used to roll out the dough, practising to get the dough flat and ready to be cut with Pudsey cutters. Well done Horses.
