Summer Fruit Cocktail Making
This week the preschool enjoyed key links to their July curriculum topic summer and healthy eating with a fruit cocktail making session.
The children enjoyed researching their own recipes using the touch and tilt table and noting down the ingredients they will need. Before the activity, the children completed their own risk assessment and include the discussions around the safe use of knives and washing their hands to prevent germs spreading. The children thoroughly enjoyed preparing their fruit cocktails by cutting up the different fruits and mashing together using mashers and tools.
The children then linked to the use of ICT with adult support to use the blender to blend together.
The children loved tasting their fruits cocktails with their fruits with their umbrellas and flamingos mixing sticks voting for their favourites.
