The Grasshoppers went to the forest to explore a range of activities that the team had set up for them. Children were able to choose the area they wanted to explore and the resources they wanted to engage with. The children explored a mud kitchen activity, using their imaginations to pretend to cook with natural materials. A construction site filled with digger trucks was set up and children transported the natural soil and leaves around the forest. Movement ribbons were explored and children moved their whole bodies to move the ribbon and explored the wind as the ribbons moved. Finally they explored balancing beams and practiced steadying their whole bodies as they moved from one beam to another.
