Martin Luther King Day

For Martin Luther King Day the children have learned all about who Martin Luther King was and the importance of his movement and legacy. We used the laptop to find a clip explaining what Martin Luther King did and what he believed in. We then used the whiteboards to write down important words we have learned from the clips like “activist”, “segregation” and “humanitarian”. The children then made their own Martin Luther King fact sheets using some of the information from the clips and some that was taught to them from books and printed information. They used pictures of him so they could draw him through their own eyes and added some of the important words. This was a very sensitive and important subject for the children to learn about and as always, we are in awe of how much the children took in and learned from the experience. Well done pre-school like always you have blown us away with your kindness and want to learn!
