Visiting Loughton Synagogue

The Grasshoppers visited Loughton Synagogue as part of our Passover celebrations.

They met Rabbi Yanki Abrams who was able to show the children around the the synagogue and talk to the children about Passover and the Jewish religion.

The children were able to look around.

They visited various rooms and looked at equipment and artefacts.

The children were able to try traditional matzah bread.

They talked about the story of Passover.

They looked at how and why this is celebrated.

The children had a wonderful time exploring the environment and taking part in activities.

It was a wondaful experience for the children to explore different religions and cultures.
