Making an Ecosystem

The Ladybirds went to the forest to collect items to make their own ecosystem.

They filled the jar with a selection of objects such as stones, sticks and leaves.

They used nets and buckets to select samples from the pond to add to the jar.

The children used buckets to collect portions of pond water to add to the jar.

Insects and pond life animals were found such as worms.

Back at nursery the children viewed the ecosystem talking about what they could see.

The children were fascinated with awe and wonder.
