Life cycle of a frog

 This week in toddler room we continued our life cycle topic by  exploring the life cycle of a frog. We learned new vocabulary like frog spawn, tadpole and lily pad. We used our ICT equipment like the touch and tilt table to explore this life cycle and look at real life frogs, froglets and tadpoles. We then explored our own natural pond themed tray where we role played with frogs and tadpoles. We linked this to one of our favourite songs “5 little speckled frog”. We lined up our frogs on a log and used our motor skills to help them jump off their log. We had lots of fun seeing how far we could make them jump and tested our methods to see if we could make them go farther. To further extend this we explored some edible frog spawn made from jelly and raisins. Well done toddlers what a lovely week of exploring.
