Creating Stain Glass Windows/Shapes and Light Exploration

Creating Stain Glass Windows/Shapes and Light Exploration

This week the preschool enjoyed the end of their light and dark curriculum topic with a range of activities. The children focused on light exploration and linked this to shapes and colours.

The children designed their own stain glass windows after researching all about stain glass windows and how they ae made in an educational clip.

The children used scissors to cut their own stain glass shapes and deigned and created their own patterns using their own ideas and preferences.

To extend on this the preschool children explored the light table with coloured counters and magnetic shapes. The children used the counters to recreate 2D shapes. They extended further by using the magnetic tiles to create 3D shapes.
