Hatching Dinosaur Eggs

The Horses were surprised when they arrived at nursery to see footprints leading them through the door and upstairs! After some detective work the children identified the footprints as dinosaurs footprints. They carefully followed them up the stairs to the horses room and found that the dinosaur had left several dinosaur eggs inside! The children approached cautiously and talked about what they could see. They discussed how they might rack open and hatch the eggs. They used tools such as hammers, carving tools and brushes to open the eggs carefully. Inside they located various small dinosaurs. The children worked collaboratively to open the eggs, holding them steady for each other and manipulating tools to crack open the eggs.
