Gardening at the care home

Some of the children from Lions went to Queens House care home and helped them with the gardening. The children really enjoyed meeting some of the residents and even had a dance with them.

Visiting different placers helps children feel more confident when they are challenged with unfamiliar environment. The children benefit from the praise and feedback they receive from the care home residents, and the residents, who could be lonely and socially isolated, enjoy the interaction with the children.
