Reflective Windows

The Butterflies explored making their own reflective windows.

They cut holes in paper, manipulating the scissors carefully.

Using increasing control.

Then they glued on different coloured cellophane.

They attached it to the paper carefully.

Then they explored the reflections.

They looked at reflections from the sun outside.

By placing them on the window.

Next they used torches to look at shadows and reflections.

The children operated the torches well.

Pressing the button to turn it on and off.

The supported each other by holding the windows up to shine through the torch.

The children commenting on the coloured reflections.

They noticed if they held the torch away the reflection got bigger.

They explored through trial and error.

Everyone had so much fun investigating.
