Feelings Puppets

The Ponies have been talking about their feelings. They each helped to make a variety of puppets on sticks with a range of emotions. The children talked about the differing emotions such as happy, sad, scared, worried, anxious. They drew faces on the puppets referencing each emotion. During circle time they read a feelings book and held up the correct feelings puppet to show how the character in the book was feeling. It was an excellent way for the children to explore their Personal, Social and Emotional development and explore their feelings and the feelings of others. Naming the feelings allows children to put into words how they are feeling.
