Making our own Ice cream

The Ladybirds have been busy making mango ice cream this week.

As an extension from the previous ice cream play activity the Ladybirds decided to make their very own ice cream.

The children took it in turns to chop and mash the mango up, focusing on hand and eye coordination and physical development.

The children also helped to add the various ingredients into machine naming the items such as mango, cream, milk and sugar.

The Ladybirds enjoyed watching the ingredients churn and discussed the process of all the ingredients forming into ice cream.

Once finished the children could not wait to taste their creation and were very impressed with the final product.
