The children in Butterflies have started off the Spring season by creating some lovely pressed flowers artwork. The children were able to independently use scissors to trim their flowers to the size they required, developing their independence and their fine motor skills. They then placed their flowers carefully in the middle of two boards before fastening the boards together to press their flowers. The children were then able to use glue and tape to stick their flowers onto some card to make their beautiful spring collages. The Butterflies spoke about the colours of their flowers, what they could smell and they also predicted how their flowers would be when they came out from the boards!
