Mathematical Bottles

The Ladybirds explored mathematical bottles.

They used fine and gross motor skill to fill bottles with a variety of materials both wet and dry.

They used hand eye co-ordination to use the funnel alongside the bottle and filled the bottle with little spill.

Different sized measuring scoops were also used to fill the bottles.

Children used m mathematical language concepts such as more and less and full and empty.

Children explored spacial awareness as they knew when bottles were full and added the bottle lid.

Children also talked about the weight and capacity of bottles.
