The Butterflies explored the mud kitchen in the garden. They used a variety of real life authentic resources from a kitchen to spark awe and wonder in play. The children explored the resources and the real weight and feel of them. Children respect real life resources more than toys as they know they may get broken if they fall on the floor. The children used different sized scoops, spoons and containers to transport mud from one place to another exploring their transportation schema in play. The children added water to the mixture by using he water butt tap. They added water to the mud changing the consistency of the mud and making it wetter and runnier.
