To finish off our animals from around the world topic this week in the baby room we explored animal habitats as reflection on what we have learned throughout the month. Firstly we explored our texture books to look at animals in their habitats. We also used the computer to watch short clips of animals exploring in their homes and how they live. We particularly loved looking at the farm animals and making the noises and sounds for all the animals we could see, “Baa” and “Oink” were very popular. To extend our learning we then explored our own habitats for our small world animals. This helped us to explore different textures, make marks and use our imaginations as we moved the animals around the different trays.
