Cup Phones

The Grasshoppers looked at different sounds as they made cup phones to explore communication and language development. The children made marks on their cups and personalised the cups to provide a induvial phone for each child. Once the phones had been created and joined with string the children made a selection of sounds into the cups and explored the effects this had on the cup at the other side of the string. Children spoke full words and made sounds with their voices listening carefully to each other and waiting for each child to have a turn.
