Propelling Paint

The Grasshoppers explored motion and speed as they propelled paint. 

The children made predictions about what they thought might happen when they pushed the paint pot. 

Everyone tried through trial and error to see what would happen. 

Some children wanted to push the pot from above and stood on a chair to see what happen. 

The children noticed it moved higher and quicker. 

Some children wanted to push it slower and lower under the chair. 

They noticed it moved slowly. 

Some children took a run up which made the paint swoosh further. 

The children noticed different patterns on the paper with paint through the cause and effect.
