The Grasshoppers made hot cross buns for Easter. They followed simple instructions to follow the recipe. Weighing out ingredients and using scales to ensure the numbers on the recipe matched up with the numbers on the scale as they explored weight and capacity. The children mixed the ingredients together and were excited when they formed a dough. Children practiced kneading the dough. using their physical skills to manipulate the dough. The hot cross buns were added t the table top oven and children ere able to operate simple cooking equipment by turning it on and learning life skills. Children excitedly waited for the hot cross buns and all enjoyed tasing them for snack!
