Car Crazy

The Butterflies had shown a large interest in cars recently.

They used the ramps to push cars down into the paint to look at the print.

The children explored the cause and effect as the ramp was placed at different levels.

Mathematical language was used such as faster and slower.

The children quickly realised that the heavier cars moved more quickly down the ramp.

Children looked at the wheels and compared them to the patterns made.

We followed up with a local walk to look at some cars outside.

Children were excited to located the various car parts such as wheels.

The children looked at tire tread and talked about the patterns on the tire tread.
