The children in Ladybirds have been exploring with lots of different resources to make their messy play 'smoothies'. They were given a variety of messy play including coloured water, corn flour, slimy chia seeds and shaving foam. The children were given different size utensils and containers and were able to explore how materials changed when they added different liquids to each container. The Ladybirds used spoons, whisks and spatulas to mix their creations. It was exciting to see how the colours changed as they mixed together! When the smoothies were all mixed together, they enjoyed added shaving foam to the top before added sprinkles for a finishing touch.
