Making tracks

Making tracks

To start our new topic ‘transport’ we explored the different tracks our transport toys can make in various types of materials. We used our road transport to make marks in the wet sand and we used our air transport to make marks in shaving foam.  We then tested our tracks in some edible substances such as icing sugar and cereal. We enjoyed observing and exploring the marks we made as we pushed our toys along using our fine motor skills whilst making the common sounds these modes of transport typically make. To extend this we decided to make some large scale tracks using different coloured paint and our digger and tipper trucks.
