Nature Paint Brushes

The Grasshoppers foraged for leaves and flowers in the local forest to create their own nature paintbrushes. The children attached the leaves and flowers to sticks and used them as paint brushes to make marks on paper with paint. The children talked about the different marks the leaves and flowers made and described the marks by saying words such as spikey and prickly as they gave meaning to the marks they made on paper. The children highly enjoyed using the natural materials to make marks, grasping the sticks with palmer and tripod grips to cover the paper in paint.
