Exploring Light in the Dark

This week preschool explored different sources of light in the dark, we evaluated how much they lit and how effective they was as a source of light, we used torches, lightboxes and glow sticks. We made different shapes in the dark. To extend this we learned about reflection and how light reflects off of different objects, particularly metal. When we tested wood we noticed that no light was reflected and when we tested plastic the light went through the plastic and shone on the nearest surface. We enjoyed testing foil and Magnatiles the most.

To further extend this we learned on the touch and tilt how the moon reflects the sun on the earth and that the sun and moon are always there we just cannot always see them due to light and dark!

Well done preschool for engaging so well in these activities and asking inciteful questions to further your knowledge
