Natural Water Painting

The Ladybirds went to the forest to explore water painting.

They used water and paints to make marks on paper in a variety of ways.

The water was used to change the tone of the colour making it lighter and darker.

Colours were mixed together to explore colour mixing.

The children drew on natural inspiration for their paintings and have meanings to marks they made such as tree.

The children practised gripping the paint brush in different grips such as palmer and pincer.

Tree's were used to explore how the paint changed with the tree texture underneath.
