Frozen Flower Experiments

The Grasshoppers explored flowers frozen in water.

They added both warm and cold water to see the effects on the ice.

The children were in awe when they saw the warm water melt the ice.

Children added more with pippets and jugs to see the ice melt at a quicker rate.

Children used descriptive vocabulary such as melting and dissolving.

Small wooden hammers were also used to attempt to free the flowers from the ice.

Children used motor skills and hand eye co-ordination to successfully break the ice.

Tweezers were also used to pull some of the flowers free.
