The Horses took part in some cold cooking and made guacamole. They followed simple instructions from a recipe and used appropriate tools to create the dish. Firstly they cut open avocados, exploring the inside and removing the pip. They used spoons to scoop out the avocado and add it to a bowl. Mashers were used to mash the avocado. The children also used knives to cut up tomatoes to add to the avocado. It was all added to a bowl and combined. Juicers were used to squeeze limes to add lime juice to the mix. Everything was mixed together and the children were able to use real cooking equipment and tools to create learning life skills.
After it was ready everyone enjoyed guacamole on crackers. It was yummy.
