Making Lemon Sorbet Ice-Cream
This week in baby room to end our topic of summer the babies enjoyed making their own lemon sorbet ice cream. The babies firstly enjoyed exploring the texture of the lemon by exploring the skin and looking inside the lemon. The babies used their fine motor skills to cut the lemon in halves and they also enjoyed using the juicer to squeeze all the lemon juice out of the lemons. We then had a little taste of the lemon, which was a little bit sour for us. We then enjoyed pouring the sugar in the water and watching it melt. We then used our fine motor skills to mix all the ingredients together and then we placed all the ingredients into different bowls and then we put it in the freezer. Once it was ready, we enjoyed eating the lemon sorbet with our friends around the table.
