The horses enjoyed using different recyclable materials to create their own vehicles. We spoke about the different types of vehicles we could make and decided on a fire engine and a race car, the horses worked in teams to create their vehicles using a range of different craft materials such as paint, pens, glue sticks and a hot glue gun, allowing the children to discuss the risks and contribute ideas of how to stay safe, choosing to only hold the glue gun by the handle with one hand, under adult supervision and our free hand staying by our sides.
They then got to enjoy some role playing using their own vehicles and extending their learning by creating real life scenarios.
