Shadow Letters and Numbers:

This week in preschool, we continued learning about our topic light and dark. The children wanted to make their own den, so we extended their interest by making our own tent in the book corner and decided to make shadows with different letters and numbers. They each took turns to create different shadows with the torches and encouraged their peers to guess what letters and numbers they can see reflecting on the blue material. One child said, “it’s the number 6”. The children enjoyed making their shadows with letters and numbers and enjoyed hiding under the tent, to see what reflections each different letters and numbers make. They also discovered that when you bring the torch closer to an object it becomes bigger and when you move further away it becomes smaller! We also tested making shadows on the blanket and on the walls too! Well done preschool!
