The Antarctic World
We have enjoyed exploring a glacier tray show casing the life in Antarctica. We explored a book called ‘Artic animals cold feet’ this was very interesting as we learnt some facts about how penguins use to fly but now are great swimmers. We then explored the ice tray for the sensory feelings and found matching sea creatures to the book we were able to understand the question asked and find the object. Paint was also provided in the tray with some brushes to paint the ice cubes and to watch them melt in between our warm fingers. This language rich tray helped us to learn new words, information, explore the cold world these animals live in all while enjoying this sensory cold experience.
