Berry Beautiful Creations
Today, our Ladybirds had a wonderful adventure on our trip to the forest! We began by enjoying a picnic snack together while taking in the beautiful surroundings. We spoke about the nature around us, noticing the different trees, plants, and wildlife we could see and hear. As a group, we then went on a hunt for berries. Once we found some, we carefully picked them and used a pestle and mortar to squash them into a thick, paint-like consistency. Using the natural berry paint and other materials we found, the children explored making marks and creating their own nature-inspired artwork. Everyone had lots of fun, enjoyed being creative, and developed their curiosity about the natural world.
