Babies ice cream parlour
Following the lovely weather, the babies transformed into mini ice cream makers! We created some pretend ice cream by mixing flour, oil, and food colouring to make homemade kinetic sand. The babies explored this sensory activity using ice cream cones, scoops, bowls, and spoons.
They were encouraged to use the scoops and spoons to fill the cones and bowls, helping to strengthen their hand-eye coordination and develop their fine motor skills. The activity also promoted imaginative play, sensory exploration, and communication as the babies experimented with different colours, textures, and ways of creating their own pretend ice creams. It was a fun and engaging experience that encouraged creativity while supporting their physical development.
