This week, we celebrated Space Week by creating our very own galaxy! The children enjoyed exploring a range of exciting materials and taking part in fun, hands-on sensory activities. 🌌

We used a foil mat and shiny silver balls to represent planets and stars, creating a wonderful space-themed environment for the children to explore. The children also had the opportunity to investigate our homemade moon sand, made using flour and oil, providing a lovely sensory experience as they touched, squeezed and explored the different textures. 🌑⭐ our astronaut projector light really made us feel like we were in space with the stars shining in the room and on our activity as we played

With astronauts and spacemen added to our space adventures, the children used their imaginations to explore the wonders of the universe!

These activities encouraged curiosity, sensory exploration, imaginative play and the development of fine motor skills. We had a fantastic time blasting off into space and discovering new things together!
