Ladybirds

While in the garden this week, one of the children in Lions found a ladybird on a leaf, so we got a magnify glass and then we found a bug book on Ladybirds and read this as a group and then created their own picture of Ladybirds.

Learning about bugs (or minibeasts) is a fantastic topic in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for babies and toddlers. It promotes sensory development, communication skills, and an early understanding of the natural world. Practitioners typically use hands-on exploration, songs, and sensory play to keep these tiny creatures engaging and safe for little one.
