Today the Ladybirds enjoyed a wonderful outdoor art activity in the garden using cornflour paint!
We painted directly onto the concrete and had lots of fun watching our colourful creations come to life. As we waited for the paint to dry, the vibrant colours became brighter and more visible, which was so exciting for the children to see.
The children practised holding and controlling their paintbrushes as they carefully painted their pictures. They did a fantastic job sharing the paint palettes, taking turns, and working together throughout the activity. It was lovely to hear them chatting with one another, sharing their ideas, and talking about what they were painting. From colourful patterns to imaginative pictures, every creation was unique!
Activities like this help to develop fine motor skills, creativity, communication, and important social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, and collaborating with friends. We had a wonderful time exploring colours and enjoying the sunshine together!
