This week, the children in the toddler room explored mark making using different materials. They had lots of fun creating their very own mud paint! 🌿🎨
The children helped scoop soil into pots, added water, and mixed it all together to create the perfect muddy texture. They also experimented using a pestle and mortar, mashing and mixing the soil carefully to see how it changed.
Once their mud paint was ready, the children used paintbrushes to create beautiful pictures and marks on paper. This sensory experience encouraged creativity, exploration, and fine motor development while allowing the children to investigate natural materials through play.
