This week in the toddler room, the children extended their role play in the home corner as they explored the everyday routine of washing dishes. Building on their interest in familiar home experiences, the children eagerly took on the role of helping around the house.
They demonstrated developing fine motor skills as they carefully pumped soap into the sink and used sponges to scrub the dishes clean. The children showed great concentration and coordination while washing, imitating real-life actions they see at home. Once the dishes were clean, they thoughtfully placed them onto the drying rack, completing the process from start to finish.
This meaningful play supported the children’s independence, confidence, and understanding of daily routines, while also strengthening their physical skills and imaginative play.
