Our Colourful Fruit Painting Adventure

Our Colourful Fruit Painting Adventure

This week, our babies have been getting creative and wonderfully messy with fruit painting. We reused some of the grapefruit that we had been exploring and playing with throughout the week and incorporated it into our painting experience.
We introduced a range of bright colours including red, yellow, orange, blue and purple, encouraging the babies to explore what happened when the colours were mixed together. Using their hands and the grapefruit, the babies squished, mixed, splatted and swirled the paint onto their own plates, creating their very own colourful masterpieces. It was lovely to watch the babies become fascinated by the changing colours and textures. They thoroughly enjoyed using their hands to feel and mix the paint, exploring cause and effect as they discovered that putting different colours together created something new. Most importantly, there were lots of smiles, giggles and very colourful little hands! Our fruit painting experience provided a wonderful opportunity for sensory exploration, creativity and developing those all important fine motor skills all while having lots of fun getting messy!
