This week, making the most of the beautiful spring weather, we began our exciting garden planting project! We started by learning all about how flowers and plants grow, exploring the life cycle of a plant and what it needs to thrive.
The children then put their knowledge into practice by planting their very own seeds. We planted a wonderful variety, including sunflowers, garden rocket, parsley, basil, tomatoes, garden peas, and French beans. Each child had their own pot and carefully scooped in soil, filled their containers halfway, added their seed, and covered it gently.
To finish, we gave our seeds a good drink of water and placed them in the sunshine in our garden. Now comes the exciting part, we can’t wait to watch them grow and see the changes over the next few weeks! Well done preschool for all your help planting our seeds!
