The ladybirds became mini chefs as they rolled up their sleeves and got busy making their very own pumpkin soup! They began by exploring the pumpkin, looking at its colour, feeling its texture and smelling its fresh scent. The children took part in washing, scooping, cutting and mixing the ingredients, developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while learning about healthy foods. They were encouraged to use their senses, explore new textures and work together as a team. Once the soup was ready, the children had the opportunity to taste their delicious creation, building confidence in trying new foods and developing their independence. Well done Ladybirds!
